Taurus Crane Sales was formed in 1977 by Peter Burwell, who had previously worked on used cranes with Coles Cranes Ltd and Grove Cranes Ltd.

Over the ensuing years, the Company firmly established itself as one of Europe’s leading suppliers of used cranes throughout the world. We pride ourselves on the high standards of our overhauled cranes, a fact borne out by the number of repeat orders we receive from our regular customers.

In May 2000 we moved to larger premises at the former USAF Airbase at Upper Heyford, Oxfordshire. Due to the impending re-development of the airbase, we relocated to new premises at Weston on the Green in October 2008, where we have full workshop facilities for our stock of cranes.

In 2007, Peter’s son Simon joined the Company, and is now fully involved in the day to day running of the business.

Over the last 40 years, we have exported cranes to most countries and can arrange shipping/transport to any destination in the world.

Part exchanges are also welcome against any crane in stock
