Fiat-Hitachi was a joint venture between Fiat and Hitachi in 1986 to produce excavators in San Mauro Torinese, Italy. They also manufactured backhoe loaders and skid steer loaders, bulldozers, dumpers and wheel loaders. The joint venture ended in 2001 when Fiat Kobelco was started which then became New Holland Construction.
