Shanghai Zhenhua Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. (ZPMC) delivered their 12000T fully revolving self-propelled floating crane, the world’s largest of its kind. This massive crane can lift the equivalent in weight of 60 Boeing 747 at once, Xinhua said .
This vessel will be leased to China Rescue and Salvage (CRS) in Shanghai. It is designed with self-propelled, anchoring positioning/DP capability, and can be used to load and discharge large body, module, jacket, pipe frame etc.
It is suitable for lifting operation in offshore deep waters, and the operational areas will include East China Sea, South China Sea, North Sea, Middle East, South-East Asia, Indian Ocean, Gulf of Mexico, West of Africa, etc. For more information see full description here.
