{"id":9572,"date":"2017-01-06T18:08:18","date_gmt":"2017-01-06T18:08:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=9572"},"modified":"2017-01-06T18:08:18","modified_gmt":"2017-01-06T18:08:18","slug":"uk-plant-hire-firms-are-snapping-up-ex-hewden-machinery-equipment-depot-locations","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/uk-plant-hire-firms-are-snapping-up-ex-hewden-machinery-equipment-depot-locations\/","title":{"rendered":"UK Plant Hire firms are snapping up Ex-Hewden machinery equipment depot locations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The administrators of collapsed equipment hire firm Hewden have agreed to the sale of its Nottingham depot, saving five jobs.<\/p>\n<p>The sale is part of a deal to offload all Hewden depots being sold as going concerns, safeguarding the jobs of a further 64 staff.<\/p>\n<p>Depots in Inverness, Whitehaven, Willenhall and Bedford have been sold to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.morrisleslie.com\/plant-hire\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Morris Leslie Plant Hire<\/a>, with all 38 employees transferring to the new firm.<\/p>\n<p>The Lewes depot has been sold to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gap-group.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Gap Group\u00a0Hire Solutions<\/a>, with five employees transferring to the new owner, while the Nottingham depot has been sold to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.nixonhire.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Nixon Hire<\/a>, with five jobs saved.<\/p>\n<p>The Warrington and Bangor depots were sold to Cheshire-based plant hire specialist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jkashbrook.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JK Ashbrook<\/a> in December, preserving 16 jobs.
