Each jacket weighed between 625t \u2013 650t, and was loaded-out using SPMTs and a 1600-ton <a href=\"http:\/\/specs.machine.market\/index.php\/2017\/01\/02\/demag-cc-8800-1-lattice-boom-crawler-crane\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Demag CC 8800-1<\/a> crawler crane. Throughout the project, ALE has performed over 60 land transportations (two per jacket) using SPMTs and 29 load-outs using a crawler crane during 2016.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9478 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cranemarket.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-3.jpg\" alt=\"ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-3\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-3.jpg 600w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-3-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The operation is part of the Wikinger project which also includes the transportation and load-out of a jacket and topside in Puerto Real, C\u00e1diz.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"size-full wp-image-9481 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/cranemarket.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-5.jpg\" alt=\"ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-5\" width=\"600\" height=\"800\" srcset=\"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-5.jpg 600w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/01\/ale-heavy-lift-wikenger-5-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>These jackets and other pieces will eventually be part of Wikinger, the German offshore wind farm. Being the substation will become the heart of the offshore wind energy park based in the Baltic Sea.
