{"id":903,"date":"2016-04-19T18:54:42","date_gmt":"2016-04-19T18:54:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=903"},"modified":"2016-04-19T18:54:42","modified_gmt":"2016-04-19T18:54:42","slug":"heavy-lift-partners-install-dudgeon-jacket","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/heavy-lift-partners-install-dudgeon-jacket\/","title":{"rendered":"ALE Heavy Lift collaborated with Sembmarine SLP to complete jack-up operations"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Offshore engineering firm <a href=\"http:\/\/sembmarineslp.com\/\">Sembmarine SLP<\/a> has collaborated with heavy-lift specialist <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ale-heavylift.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">ALE<\/a> to complete jack-up operations for a 954-tonne jacket as part of construction of Dudgeon Offshore Wind Farm in the UK.<\/p>\n<p>Projects teams from both firms oversaw all lifting procedures and utilized the ALE\u2019s Mega Jack 800 system to lift the jacket to the required height of 14 meters along with ALE\u2019s AK912 and the LR1600-2 crane systems.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cUsing our innovative equipment in this way shows how ALE continues to push the boundaries in not only the offshore wind market but also engineering capabilities in the UK,\u201d said Vytis Zygialis, ALE project engineer.<\/p>\n<p>The firms performed multiple site moves, upending and jacking-up as well as loading-out the jacket and topside at the fabrication site in Lowestoft, Suffolk.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIt has been a particularly complex operation to integrate the suction bucket technology into the jacket whilst also considering the construction constraints of the project.
