{"id":8449,"date":"2016-11-10T20:46:37","date_gmt":"2016-11-10T20:46:37","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=8449"},"modified":"2016-11-10T20:46:37","modified_gmt":"2016-11-10T20:46:37","slug":"terex-to-lay-off-92-in-waukesha-wi-citing-consolidation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/terex-to-lay-off-92-in-waukesha-wi-citing-consolidation\/","title":{"rendered":"Terex to Lay off 92 at Waukesha, WI factory citing consolidation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>WAUKESHA, WI<\/strong>\u00a0&#8211; The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terex.com\/en\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terex Corporation<\/a> is expected to lay off 92 employees by February.<\/p>\n<p>According to a Wisconsin Department of Workforce Development mass layoff notice submitted by the company, 59 employees will lose their jobs on January 6, and 33 more in February.<\/p>\n<p>According to the mass layoff notice submitted by Terex on Nov. 8, the company reviewed its overall manufacturing footprint and production capacity and determined that excess production capacity exists.<\/p>\n<p>The company stated that it will consolidate its final-stage installation production into its South Dakota factory.<\/p>\n<p>The Terex South Dakota factory manufactures aerial and digging derrick devices and already performs the same final-stage installation as the Waukesha facility.<\/p>\n<p>As a result of the consolidation Terex will cease production at the Waukesha facility.
