The MC-815 \u2013 serial number 00001 \u2013 was unveiled at the Bauma, the world\u2019s biggest crane and lifting show in Munich, Germany.<\/p>\n

The spider crane is Maeda\u2019s largest capacity spider crane, with a maximum lifting capacity of 8 tonnes at a radius of 2.4m.<\/strong><\/p>\n

It has a five-section 19.4 metre boom, and an optional two-section 1,500kg capacity telescopic jib, which increases the maximum lifting height to 25.5 metres. A 1,000kg all-new searcher hook is also available.<\/p>\n

Other features include a new joystick control replacing the standard four levers, and a new 10.4-inch multi-function touch-screen monitor.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Hird Managing Director Phil Hird said: <\/strong>\u201cWe\u2019re delighted to be the first crane operator in the world to take delivery of what is going to be an industry-leading mini crane.<\/p>\n

\u00a0They\u2019re the most popular mini cranes in the world because they\u2019re the most capable and technologically advanced machines, and the MC-815 is no exception.\u201d<\/div>\n

A key new development with the MC815 mini spider crane is its new HBC Technos A fully remote radio telemetry system.<\/strong><\/p>\n

While the MC-815 can be operated from a conventional seat on the crane, it can also be fully remote controlled. The crane can also be remotely self-levelled and automatically stowed.<\/p>\n

The bio-energy mini crane is fully EU Stage 3 compliant.<\/p>\n

Alan Peck, Sales Director at Kranlyt, the European master distributor for Maeda, said: \u201cHird is one of our most important UK customers so we\u2019re very pleased that they got the first MC-815.<\/p>\n
