The end result of that development process was the 90t and 100t class models.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-7861\" src=\"https:\/\/cranemarket.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Liebherr-Rough_Terrain.jpg\" alt=\"Liebherr-Rough_Terrain\" width=\"1742\" height=\"1163\" srcset=\"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Liebherr-Rough_Terrain.jpg 1742w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Liebherr-Rough_Terrain-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Liebherr-Rough_Terrain-768x513.jpg 768w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Liebherr-Rough_Terrain-1024x684.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/10\/Liebherr-Rough_Terrain-1080x721.jpg 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1742px) 100vw, 1742px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Christoph Kleiner, MD of sales for Liebherr-Werk Ehingen, the OEM\u2019s crane division, highlighted both North America and the Middle East as the regional markets where the manufacturer sees the most potential for its new \u2018LRT\u2019 cranes.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"bold\">\n<li><strong>Liebherr presents a new version of its rough-terrain cranes<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The new LRT 1090-2.1 and LRT 1100-2.1 rough-terrain cranes will be unveiled at Conexpo 2017 in Las Vegas<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>The main focus during the crane development work was to ensure a high level of safety during use<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"bold\">The Liebherr Rough-Terrain cranes LRT 1090-2.1 and LRT 1100-2.1 will be unveiled to the public at the Conexpo construction machinery trade show in Las Vegas in March 2017. They feature high performance, safety and comfort.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1080\" height=\"810\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GcpRmJTYpmw?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>During the development process for the new line of rough-terrain cranes, the priorities for Liebherr were safety and ease of operation.<\/p>\n<p>Both models have Liebherr\u2019s LICCON control system, which monitors the outrigger positions, ballast and the positioning of the double folding jib, together with an integrated load moment limiter.<\/p>\n<p>The company\u2019s VarioBase system then allows the individual outrigger beams to be extended to any length for enclosed work sites. LICCON calculates the maximum load for each situation and prevents accidents by human error during assembly and when hoisting loads.<\/p>\n<p>Both models will be powered by Cummins diesel engines with curb weights below 40t without ballast, 29.5 R25 off-road tyres and all-wheel and crab steering for easy handling in constricted conditions.<\/p>\n<p>The crane chassis and turntable of the two newly designed LRT cranes are almost identical, but the models differ in the boom length, telescoping technology.<\/p>\n<p>The 100t LRT 1100-2.1, with 14t of ballast, has a 50m telescopic boom and \u201cTelematik\u201d telescoping system, which extends the various telescoping sections with a single cylinder while the driver controls and monitors the process on the LICCON monitor in the crane cab.<\/p>\n<p>The 90t LRT 1090-2.1, with 12t of ballast, has a 47m telescopic boom.
