{"id":6497,"date":"2016-09-08T17:48:33","date_gmt":"2016-09-08T17:48:33","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=6497"},"modified":"2016-09-08T17:48:33","modified_gmt":"2016-09-08T17:48:33","slug":"trans-anatolian-pipeline-construction-in-line-with-schedule","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/trans-anatolian-pipeline-construction-in-line-with-schedule\/","title":{"rendered":"Trans Anatolian Pipeline construction running through Turkey on schedule"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The work on construction of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Trans-Anatolian_gas_pipeline\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Trans Anatolian Pipeline <\/a>(TANAP) continues in line with the schedule.<\/p>\n<p>It was noted during the meeting of the TANAP Consortium\u2019s management that was dedicated to the results of the first half of 2016 and the upcoming tasks, said a message from Azerbaijan\u2019s state oil company SOCAR posted on its website Aug. 25.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-6500\" src=\"https:\/\/cranemarket.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis.png\" alt=\"TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis\" width=\"1280\" height=\"414\" srcset=\"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis.png 1280w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis-300x97.png 300w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis-768x248.png 768w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis-1024x331.png 1024w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/09\/TAP_TANAP_SCP_Schah_Denis-1080x349.png 1080w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1280px) 100vw, 1280px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.socar.az\/socar\/az\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SOCAR<\/a> President Rovnag Abdullayev, who was on a visit to Turkey on Aug. 23-24, participated at the meeting.<\/p>\n<p>TANAP project envisages transportation of gas from Azerbaijan\u2019s Shah Deniz field to the western borders of Turkey. The gas will be delivered to Turkey in 2018, and after completion of the Trans Adriatic Pipeline\u2019s construction, the gas will be delivered to Europe in early 2020.<\/p>\n<p>After the meeting, Rovnag Abdullayev met with Turkey\u2019s Minister of Energy and Natural Resources Berat Albayrak. The minister spoke about the status of projects implemented in Turkey and planned activities.<\/p>\n<p>Albayrak expressed satisfaction with the progress of construction works within the framework of SOCAR projects in Turkey, in particular, the TANAP, the STAR oil refinery, petrochemical complex Petkim and Petlim container port. He noted that SOCAR is one of the important investors in Turkey; the company\u2019s activities are supported by the country\u2019s government and this support will be continued in the future.<\/p>\n<p>SOCAR president also visited the Star refinery in Izmir, Petkim petrochemical complex and Petlim port. Abdullayev was told that all projects are being implemented in line with the schedule.<\/p>\n<p>Star refinery\u2019s annual production of naphtha, which is used by the petrochemical complex Petkim (where SOCAR has a share) as the main raw material, will be 1.66 million tons. Apart from naphtha, the new refinery will produce diesel fuel with ultra-low sulfur content in the volume of 5.95 million tons, aviation kerosene \u2013 500,000 tons, reformate \u2013 500,000 tons, petroleum coke \u2013 630,000 tons, liquefied gas \u2013 240,000 tons, mixed xylene \u2013 415,000 tons, an olefin liquefied gas \u2013 75,000 tons and 145,000 tons of sulfur. The refinery won\u2019t produce gasoline and fuel oil. The plant is planned to process such oil sorts as Azeri Light, Kerkuk and Urals.<\/p>\n<p>Total cost of Star refinery\u2019s construction project in Turkey exceeds $5 billion.<\/p>\n<p>Petlim port\u2019s shareholders are: Petkim \u2013 70 percent and Goldman Sachs \u2013 30 percent. In 2013, a contract was signed with APM Terminals for the port\u2019s management for 28 years.
