ONE of the largest mobile cranes a five axle Terex All Terrain<\/a> crane in Walvis Bay tipped over next to the civic center during the lunch hour and crashed onto three vehicles parked in the public parking area.<\/b><\/p>\n

Municipal officials told The Namibian<\/a><\/i> that all of the vehicle owners were inside the municipal building when the incident took place, so no one was injured.<\/p>\n

There are unconfirmed reports that there may have been one person trapped in one of the vehicles, but this newspaper still needs to confirm.<\/p>\n

Preliminary investigations revealed that the crane, which was dismantling tent structure on the municipal terrain, tipped when its support stands allegedly sunk into a sinkhole, which allegedly was created by a burst water pipe under the interlocked parking area.<\/p>\n
