A CT-133 Silver Star T-Bird plane is being moved in Canada.<\/p>\n
A group of spectators took photos and video while they watched as straps were secured to the plane, the supports cut and the plane lifted to the ground.<\/p>\n
Todd Vassalo of Project Works Artistry dismantled the plane and T. Fraser Crane of new Glasgow, NS moved it to the ground. The entire process was expected to take 10 hours, but after the plane was on the ground, Vassalo said it was taking longer than he had planned.<\/p>\n
After the plane was lowered to the ground, Vassalo detached the wings, which are one piece, but the screws in the sheet metal were corroded. \u201cThirteen years have taken their toll,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Once the wings were removed, crane operator Tom Fraser loaded the fuselage and the wings onto cradles Vassalo had built. The plane was taken to the 144 Construction Engineering Flight, where it will be stored.<\/p>\n
