{"id":5993,"date":"2016-08-24T13:56:42","date_gmt":"2016-08-24T13:56:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=5993"},"modified":"2016-08-24T13:56:42","modified_gmt":"2016-08-24T13:56:42","slug":"huisman-offshore-inks-338-million-of-crane-orders","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/huisman-offshore-inks-338-million-of-crane-orders\/","title":{"rendered":"Huisman offshore inks $338 million of crane orders"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Dutch lifting, drilling and subsea solutions firm <a href=\"http:\/\/www.huismanequipment.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Huisman<\/a> has secured new crane contracts with a total value of around US$338 million from various major offshore, shipping and wind farm installation contractors:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>2 x 900-ton heavy lift mast cranes for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bigliftshipping.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">BigLift Shipping<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>1 x 1600-ton leg encircling crane for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vanoord.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Van Oord<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>4 x 2200-ton offshore mast cranes for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.oosinternational.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">OOS International<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>1 x 3000-ton offshore mast crane for <a href=\"http:\/\/boskalis.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Boskalis<\/a>;<\/li>\n<li>1 x 5000-ton tub mounted crane for <a href=\"http:\/\/allseas.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Allseas<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The cranes will be built at the Huisman production facilities in The Netherlands, Czech Republic and China. Deliveries are scheduled for end 2017, 2018 and 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The two 900-ton heavy lift mast cranes for BigLift Shipping are envisaged for Biglift\u2019s third Happy S-type vessel <em>Happy Sun<\/em>. The new build vessel is expected to be delivered in Q1 2018.<\/p>\n<p>The 1600-ton leg encircling crane for Van Oord will replace the existing 900-ton crane onboard the offshore installation jackup Aeolus. The new crane will enable Van Oord to install bigger and heavier foundations and turbines for offshore wind farms. The crane will be delivered and installed in Q1 2018.<\/p>\n<p>To further expand its current fleet, OOS International has ordered two new build semisubmersible accommodation crane vessels. For the new vessels, Huisman will deliver two sets of 2200-ton offshore mast cranes with deep water auxiliary hoist system and two telescopic access bridges. The two semis will be built for the oil and gas, renewable energy and decommissioning markets, delivery is scheduled for 2019.<\/p>\n<p>The 3000-ton offshore mast crane for Boskalis will be installed onboard one of its existing F-class heavy transport vessels, which will be converted into an offshore transport and installation crane vessel. The delivery of the crane is expected by the end of 2017.<\/p>\n<p>The 5000-ton tub mounted crane for Allseas will be installed onboard the firm&#8217;s new-build, offshore vessel <em>Pioneering Spirit<\/em>. The crane design is based on the use of a 20m-diameter slew bearing which is designed and manufactured entirely by Huisman.
