{"id":5773,"date":"2016-08-17T16:44:36","date_gmt":"2016-08-17T16:44:36","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=5773"},"modified":"2016-08-17T16:44:36","modified_gmt":"2016-08-17T16:44:36","slug":"dong-energys-573mw-race-bank-wind-farm-substation-in-place-and-was-installed-by-seaway-heavy-lifting","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/dong-energys-573mw-race-bank-wind-farm-substation-in-place-and-was-installed-by-seaway-heavy-lifting\/","title":{"rendered":"Seaway Heavy Lifting installs Dong Energy\u2019s 573MW Race Bank wind farm substation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The first substation topside and jacket have been installed at <a href=\"http:\/\/ww.dongenergy.co.uk\/uk-business-activities\/wind-power\/offshore-wind-farms-in-the-uk\/race-bank-offshore-wind-farm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Dong Energy\u2019s 573MW Race Bank<\/a> wind farm off the Norfolk coast.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.seawayheavylifting.com.cy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Seaway Heavy Lifting<\/a> vessel <a href=\"https:\/\/www.seawayheavylifting.com.cy\/vessels\/oleg-strashnov\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Oleg Strashnov<\/a> installed the 1150 tonne topside and up to 1300 tonne jacket.<\/p>\n<div>\n<p>The structures were fabricated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iemants.com\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Iemants<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/engie-fabricom.co.uk\/author\/chiefgekko\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Engie Fabricom<\/a>.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>The pair are working on a second jacket and topside for the project which will be loaded out in early 2017.<\/p>\n<p>Monopile foundation installation is well underway at the site where GeoSea jack-up Innovation is tasked with laying the 90 Bilfinger-made tubulars.<\/p>\n<p>Race Bank will feature 91 Siemens 6MW turbines to be installed by A2Sea in 2017.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.offshorewind.biz\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/race-bank-1024x1024.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"686\" height=\"686\" \/><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The first substation topside and jacket have been installed at Dong Energy\u2019s 573MW Race Bank wind farm off the Norfolk coast.
