This was built to the safety specifications given by the <a href=\"https:\/\/canalrivertrust.org.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Canal &amp; River Trust<\/a> and structurally designed by navel engineers. The build was fabricated by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.colecraftboats.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Colecraft Boats<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-5515\" src=\"https:\/\/cranemarket.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/amco-veba-936-boat-crane-2.jpg\" alt=\"amco-veba-936-boat-crane-2\" width=\"960\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/amco-veba-936-boat-crane-2.jpg 960w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/amco-veba-936-boat-crane-2-300x94.jpg 300w, https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2016\/08\/amco-veba-936-boat-crane-2-768x240.jpg 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 960px) 100vw, 960px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The construction of the boat consists of a 35mm base plate, this alone is 7 tonne in weight. The rest of the structure is 8mm minimum. The combined weight of the crane and boat is 24 tonne in its narrow form and a 5 tonne counter weight is then added to balance the boat, this gives a total of 29 tonne before the load is added.<\/p>\n<p>This allows the crane-boat to be used in the narrowest points of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.waterways.org.uk\/boating\/route_planning\/canal_map\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Inland Waterways system<\/a>.
