{"id":5416,"date":"2016-08-02T17:29:32","date_gmt":"2016-08-02T17:29:32","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=5416"},"modified":"2016-08-02T17:29:32","modified_gmt":"2016-08-02T17:29:32","slug":"peel-port-unveil-2-6m-worth-of-tractors-and-trailers","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/peel-port-unveil-2-6m-worth-of-tractors-and-trailers\/","title":{"rendered":"Peel Port in UK unveils \u00a32.6m worth of new tractors and trailers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/peelports.com\/ports\/liverpool\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">PORT of Liverpool<\/a> has welcomed \u00a32.6million worth of tractor units and trailers to serve its existing Royal Seaforth Container Terminal and new Liverpool2 development.<\/p>\n<p>The fleet of 33 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terbergbenschop.nl\/en\/products\/tractors\/yt-yard-tractors\/yt-222\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">YT222<\/a> tractors and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.seacom-trailer.com\/?L=1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Seacom<\/a> 70 tonne trailers were unveiled last week at the docks by Peel Port.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.champnews.com\/NewsDetail.aspx?ID=GN4_ART_240231\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Champion News<\/a> reports, the\u00a0purchase represents an investment of more than \u00a32.6 million in container handling equipment and will complement the new semi-automated CRMG cranes for Liverpool2 that are currently being commissioned.<\/p>\n<p>Supplied by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terbergbenschop.nl\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terberg<\/a> and its partner <a href=\"http:\/\/www.briggsequipment.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Briggs Equipment<\/a>, the vehicles will initially focus on integrated operations between the two Liverpool terminals throughout the phased opening of Liverpool2.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Colin Darroch, Head of Container Operations, said: \u201cIt\u2019s very important that we maximise efficiency throughout the port and its two terminals.
