{"id":5146,"date":"2016-07-20T14:30:39","date_gmt":"2016-07-20T14:30:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=5146"},"modified":"2016-07-20T14:30:39","modified_gmt":"2016-07-20T14:30:39","slug":"palfinger-marine-supplies-cranes-for-taiwans-1st-offshore-wind-project","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/palfinger-marine-supplies-cranes-for-taiwans-1st-offshore-wind-project\/","title":{"rendered":"Palfinger Marine supplies cranes for Taiwan&#8217;s 1st offshore wind project"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.palfinger.com\/marine\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Palfinger Marine<\/a> said Monday it has delivered two fixed boom type platform cranes for use at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.4coffshore.com\/windfarms\/formosa-1-owf-phase-1-taiwan-tw22.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">8-MW Formosa Phase 1<\/a> offshore wind project in Taiwan, marking its entry into the Asian offshore wind crane market. \u00a0Two PF 8000 fixed boom type platform cranes were delivered to Fortune Electric Co., Ltd.<\/p>\n<p>The cranes will be mounted on transition pieces in the building yard in Shanghai and then delivered to Taiwan, where they will be installed in a final step at the offshore wind farm Formosa 1 OWF Phase 1.<\/p>\n<p>The Taiwanese offshore wind market is expected to grow in the coming years as the government has a 3-GW wind power target by 2025, but there is not much space for onshore projects, Palfinger Marine pointed out.<\/p>\n<p>The firm, a unit of Austrian company <a href=\"https:\/\/www.palfinger.com\/en-US\/usa\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Palfinger AG<\/a>, also says the offshore wind segment is expected to compensate for declining orders for oil-related offshore support vessel (OSV) equipment.
