Raimondi Cranes SpA<\/a>, founded in 1863, has launched its newest design development with crane operator needs taken into consideration. The Deluxe R16 crane cabin, created by Raimondi\u2019s R&D arm, is ergonomically designed based on customer and crane operator feedback and trials.<\/p>\n

The frontal windshield, in addition to the side windshields, allow crane operators a full jobsite view as more than 80 percent of the total cabin surface is glass. To best implement this theoretical breakthrough, special attention was devoted to improving both thermal and acoustic insulation, while simultaneously reducing glare and reflection. Together with Raimondi\u2019s supplier, special two-toned windshield glass was developed, ensuring interior cabin comfort while maintaining superior visibility. Keeping with the schema of increased viewing fields, the R16 cabin door is made fully of glass, providing operators an additional line of sight.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new Deluxe cabin is equipped with the new control system V3.0. The V3.0 human-machine interface, much clearer and easier, allows the crane operator to check the full parameter during work. It also allows the maintenance team to check and set the crane quickly. A fully integrated system, the R16 is equipped with anemometer, black box, radius, load and wind indicators, and a zoning option can be added,\u201d explained Eng. Domenico Ciano, Technical Director, Raimondi Cranes.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

One of the largest cabins available in today\u2019s crane marketplace, the Deluxe R16 Raimondi dimensions at a height 2.07 meters, length of 2.135 meters and width of 1.40 meters, is highly comfortable and even allows for easy inter-cabin walking. Ergonomic seating with mobility upwards, downwards, forwards and backwards, enables all crane operators to find their respective best positions for optimal visual load control when in close mast proximity. \u201cThe position and configuration of the controls and crane interface were studied heavily to reduce operator stress thereby preventing human error,\u201d Ciano said, remarking on the internal reasoning behind the time devoted to interior design thinking.<\/p>\n

The new operator panel and the enhanced arrangement of crane commands and controls all serve to optimize performance and ease of use. User experience is also catered to as the Deluxe R16 has notable reduction of sun-blindness via lateral and frontal specifications. Durability and longevity are an integral part of the R16, with features including increased stiffness to facilitate cabling during assembly or maintenance, and cabling wear and tear prevention during storage.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
