Heavymat Industry<\/a>, distributors of Sinomach <\/a>brands of heavy equipment in West and Central Africa, has launched a range of construction, mining and agricultural equipment at a ceremony.<\/p>\n

The bulldozer, wheel loaders, excavators and road rollers ranges, according to officials of Heavymat, come with modern technologies that make them user friendly.<\/p>\n

The technologies also allow for easy monitoring and control when in use and also ensure operational efficiencies of the equipment.<\/div>\n

At the launch, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Heavymat, Mr Denis Rozand, indicated that Sinomach machines could be configured to enhance performance.<\/p>\n

Heavymat, which has its assembly plant located in Togo, has for the past 20 years represented various brands, and its latest partnership with Sinomach of China has seen the two entities open an office in the Free-zones enclave of that country.<\/p>\n

That, Mr Rozand said, was to ensure that spare parts were readily available and accessible to clients across the sub-region.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe new partnership between Heavymat and Sinomach also comes to strengthen our capacity in our quest to ensure the availability of parts for our machines across the subregion,\u201d Mr Rozand added.<\/p>\n

He was of the view that with technology becoming crucial in all aspects of construction, Heavymat had adopted an approach to introduce only machines that would ensure that customers would get the best out of their investments.<\/p>\n

He assured customers that parts for the machines were readily available, saying, \u201cWe have over US$2 million worth of parts readily available at our assembly plant in Togo.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ghanaian Market<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Director of Projects at Heavymat, Mr David Rozand, for his part, indicated that whereas the Ghanaian market was a very competitive one, the choice of situating the company\u2019s assembly plant in Lome stemmed from the fact that the Freezones regime in that country worked better than in Ghana.<\/p>\n

According to him, whereas legal tax rates were free in Togo, due to the freezones status, same could not be said of Ghana.<\/p>\n

He assured prospective clients that the machines would be made available to them at fair prices to ensure their investments would not be overburdened.<\/p>\n

Similarly, he said, delays at Ghana\u2019s port were also a disincentive to the provision of service, considering that time wasted would equate to revenue loss to the company.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe proximity between Ghana and Togo had made it even more convenient to transport the vehicles at cheaper costs to our clients,\u201d Mr Rozand stressed.<\/p>\n

Market leader\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Managing Director of Sinomach Group in charge of the West African Region, Mr Eric Guo Jianhui, indicated that Sinomach was striving to become a world market leader in the manufacture and supply of engineering equipment.<\/p>\n

According to him, Sinomach has over the years manufactured and provided different kinds of machines to serve the construction and mining sectors and also manufactured machines for military troops in China and other countries.<\/p>\n
