{"id":4851,"date":"2016-07-11T18:03:13","date_gmt":"2016-07-11T18:03:13","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=4851"},"modified":"2016-07-11T18:03:13","modified_gmt":"2016-07-11T18:03:13","slug":"telehandlera-plantjcb","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/telehandlera-plantjcb\/","title":{"rendered":"UK&#8217;s A-Plant expands its telehandler fleet to nearly 1,600 machines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Following substantial investment in its telehandler fleet, UK plant hire company <span class=\"glossary-item\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.aplant.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">A-Plant<\/a><\/span> has nearly 1,600 machines from 4m to 18m, at an average age of under two years.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.worldhighways.com\/categories\/auctions-equipment-supply-servicing-finance\/products\/a-plant-expands-its-telehandler-fleet-to-nearly-1600-machines\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">World Highways<\/a>, A-Plant\u2019s telehandlers have been purchased from <a href=\"http:\/\/www.jcb.co.uk\/Products\/Machines\/Telescopic-Handlers\/516-40\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">JCB<\/a> and other leading manufacturers to provide machines that meet Stage IIIB\/Tier 4 emissions regulations. The telehandlers are also equipped with the latest in telematics technology.<\/p>\n<p>Director of purchasing and fleet management at A-Plant, Andrew Winlow, said A-Plant\u2019s customers have added security through tracking. They also can monitor machine usage and even set up automated alerts if the hired machines exceed site speed limits or are moved out of a specified geographic zone. \u201cAt a cost of nearly \u20ac79 million it makes us the go-to hire company for telehandler hire,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe have even more investment planned in the coming months. Orders will be placed to increase the fleet size further, plus our reach is increasing with 20m telehandlers being added to the range.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>A-Plant forms part of FTSE 100 company Ashtead Group and has more than 140 service centres in the UK.
