Dana Holding Corporation (NYSE: DAN<\/a>) today announced that Sany Group<\/a> has selected Spicer\u00ae<\/sup> drivetrain components for the new, high-performance Sany SW405K 18.5-tonne wheel loader. Debuting this week at Bauma 2016 and available commercially later this year, the Sany SW405K wheel loader will feature the Spicer TZL18 powershift transmission and Spicer 37R rigid planetary axles.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n

The Sany SW405K wheel loader has been designed for end users in Europe<\/span> and North America<\/span>, meeting the requirements of EU Stage IV and U.S. EPA Tier 4 Final emissions standards. It offers high operating speeds and abundant power with a 180-kW (241-horsepower) DEUTZ TCD 7.8 L6 engine.<\/p>\n

Specifically engineered for the global wheel loader market, Spicer TZL Series powershift transmissions are designed to enhance productivity, extend equipment life, and offer improved fuel efficiency that helps manufacturers meet regional emissions regulations.\u00a0 The Spicer TZL18 transmission used on the Sany SW405K wheel loader is equipped with next-generation electronic controls to deliver continuous system monitoring, automatic shifting, advanced inching capability, and other advanced features.<\/p>\n

Spicer 37R axles have been re-engineered and upgraded to offer the same performance as previous versions while reducing axle weight by up to 25 percent. With the planetary and wet disc brakes positioned inboard, Spicer 37R axles feature a modular design and a differential carrier with Posi-Torq\u2122 and Hydra-Lok\u2122 options that include high-integrity sealings.<\/p>\n
