{"id":376,"date":"2016-04-13T14:33:55","date_gmt":"2016-04-13T14:33:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=376"},"modified":"2016-04-13T14:33:55","modified_gmt":"2016-04-13T14:33:55","slug":"at-least-12-dead-when-overhead-gantry-crane-collapses-in-dongguan-southern-china","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/at-least-12-dead-when-overhead-gantry-crane-collapses-in-dongguan-southern-china\/","title":{"rendered":"At least 18 dead when 80-ton gantry crane collapses in Dongguan, southern China"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Twelve people died and two others remain missing when a temporary structure on a construction site collapsed after being hit by a crane on Wednesday morning in south China&#8217;s Guangdong Province.<\/p>\n<p>Local officials said the accident occurred at around 5:40 a.m. in Mayong Township,Dongguan, and an area of about 200 square meters was covered by the collapsed structure, which workers appear to have been using as a dormitory.<\/p>\n<p>By 1:30 p.m., 14 people who had been pulled out remain in hospital, according to the city&#8217;sinformation office.
