{"id":3620,"date":"2016-05-27T14:26:59","date_gmt":"2016-05-27T14:26:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=3620"},"modified":"2016-05-27T14:26:59","modified_gmt":"2016-05-27T14:26:59","slug":"weldex-cranes-comply-with-london-nrmm-low-emission-zone-through-eminox-crt-retrofit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/weldex-cranes-comply-with-london-nrmm-low-emission-zone-through-eminox-crt-retrofit\/","title":{"rendered":"WELDEX CRANES COMPLY WITH LONDON NRMM LOW EMISSION ZONE THROUGH EMINOX CRT RETROFIT"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/premierconstructionnews.com\/2016\/05\/27\/weldex-cranes-comply-london-nrmm-low-emission-zone-eminox-crt-retrofit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Premier Construction News<\/a> reports<a href=\"http:\/\/www.weldex.co.uk\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\"> Weldex<\/a>, the UK\u2019s largest crawler crane hire company, has retrofitted three of its crawler cranes with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dieselnet.com\/tech\/dpf_crt.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Continuously Regenerating Trap<\/a> (CRT\u00ae) diesel particulate filters (DPFs) from Eminox, to make them compliant for use in the London NRMM Low Emission Zone (LEZ).<\/p>\n<p>Since September 2015, Non-Road Mobile Machinery (NRMM), with engines of a net power of 37kW and 560kW, which are used on any major development within Greater London have been required to meet Stage IIIA emissions regulations as a minimum or retrofit best available technology.<\/p>\n<p>Diesel exhaust emissions and especially PM10 have been classified as carcinogenic to humans, with an increased risk of lung cancer and other serious health-related conditions.\u00a0 From 2020 any development site in Greater London will be required to meet Stage IIIB, whilst central London and Canary Wharf will need to meet Stage IV.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.eminox.com\/home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Eminox<\/a> supplies bus, truck, rail, and non-road Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) around the world, as well as being the major European supplier of emission control exhaust systems for retrofit to vehicles already in service, utilising leading emission control technologies, including CRT\u00ae.<\/p>\n<p>Eminox has been supplying exhaust and emission control systems for the non-road market since 1988 and has successfully retrofitted CRT systems to a range of NRMM, including cranes, dumper trucks, excavators, concrete pumps, piling rigs and wheel loaders.<\/p>\n<p>The Eminox CRT currently represents best available technology for achieving compliance.<\/p>\n<p>Retrofitting Eminox CRTs to Weldex\u2019s cranes was a fast and cost-effective route to rendering them compliant for work within London\u2019s NRMM Low Emission Zone.
