In preparation for the anniversary, the Maxim team worked diligently on and off the speedway to meet the demands of the project in time for the grand race.<\/p>\n<p>Earlier this year, Maxim was hired by the City of Indianapolis in conjunction with The Indy Car Experience to devise a plan for a controlled drop of the Indy Car in downtown Indianapolis for New Year\u2019s Eve. This was reportedly Maxim\u2019s second year in a row for performing the New Year\u2019s Eve Indy Car drop; however, Maxim\u2019s lifting assistance did not stop there.<\/p>\n<p>The Indy Car Experience hired the Maxim team to utilize their <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkbelt.com\/lit\/home_htc.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Link-Belt HTC-8675 Series II<\/a> to place the Indy Car inside of the Indiana State House for an official media day celebration of the race. Though there were many local car manufacturers, it was known to be the first time a car was placed in the house for the ceremony. &#8220;On behalf of Maxim Crane Works, we would like to thank the Indy Car Experience and the city of Indianapolis for allowing the Maxim team to be part of such a legendary milestone,\u201d stated Crane Specialist Joe Marlin who was involved in the project.<\/p>\n<p>Maxim Crane also worked directly with the Indianapolis Motor Speedway group in providing crane and operating assistance towards changes in the race track. Maxim provided their new <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkbelt.com\/lit\/home_tcc.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Link-Belt TCC-1400<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkbelt.com\/lit\/home_rtc.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RTC-80150 Series II<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkbelt.com\/lit\/home_rtc.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RTC-80110 Series II<\/a>,\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.linkbelt.com\/lit\/home_rtc.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">RTC-8050 Series II<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.manitowoccranes.com\/en\/cranes\/grove\/grove-products\/all-terrain\/GMK6250L\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Grove GMK-6250L<\/a> and multiple other smaller taxi truck cranes for the dismantlement of the old grand stands canopy to Renascent, new structural steel, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.harmonsteel.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Harmon Steel Erectors<\/a> and Millennium Steel Erectors.<\/p>\n<p>According to President of Maxim Crane Frank Bardonaro,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cMaxim Crane is proud to have been part of getting the Speedway ready for the 100th Anniversary of the Indy 500.
