{"id":3478,"date":"2016-05-26T13:53:55","date_gmt":"2016-05-26T13:53:55","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=3478"},"modified":"2016-05-26T13:53:55","modified_gmt":"2016-05-26T13:53:55","slug":"two-hurt-as-tower-crane-collapses-on-busy-makati-street-in-the-philippines","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/two-hurt-as-tower-crane-collapses-on-busy-makati-street-in-the-philippines\/","title":{"rendered":"Two hurt as tower crane collapses on busy Makati street in the Philippines"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>CNN reports a\u00a0large construction tower crane collapsed on a busy road at the Makati business district early Thursday, injuring a taxi driver and a cyclist and cutting power to the area, authorities said.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"media-object\" src=\"http:\/\/cnnphilippines.com\/incoming\/4znlbn-tower_crane_makati_002_CNNPH.jpg\/ALTERNATES\/LANDSCAPE_768\/tower_crane_makati_002_CNNPH.jpg\" alt=\"tower_crane_makati_002_CNNPH.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The yellow crane appeared to have buckled near the middle, hitting electric and telephone cables and toppling two concrete telephone and five electric posts.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"media-object\" src=\"http:\/\/cnnphilippines.com\/incoming\/vzreip-tower_crane_makati_004_CNNPH.jpg\/ALTERNATES\/LANDSCAPE_768\/tower_crane_makati_004_CNNPH.jpg\" alt=\"tower_crane_makati_004_CNNPH.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>One of the posts fell on a parked car and a passing taxi, injuring the cab driver and a cyclist.<\/p>\n<p><img class=\"media-object\" src=\"http:\/\/cnnphilippines.com\/incoming\/zihcng-tower_crane_makati_005_CNNPH.jpg\/ALTERNATES\/LANDSCAPE_768\/tower_crane_makati_005_CNNPH.jpg\" alt=\"tower_crane_makati_005_CNNPH.jpg\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The incident happened around 7:50 a.m. as the crane was being set up at a construction site, according to a statement from A.M.
