The new fermenting vats for Revolution Brewery needed a 600-ton plus crane All Terrain crane until Central Contractors Inc.<\/a>,\u00a0an All Crane<\/a>\u00a0company based in the Chicagoland area stepped up with the perfect crane that could fit though the entrance and still\u00a0handle installing the vats.<\/p>\n

The fermenting vats were 40 feet (12 m) long, with a diameter of 14 feet (4.2 m)” says \u00a0Central Contractors Service, Inc.\u00a0“The small area did not leave us much space. \u00a0In addition, the area was surrounded by fences and power lines, so we had very little room to maneuver.”<\/p>\n

The only way to get to the back of the brewery, ran through the building. And the only way to accomplish this was the use a compact crane which could fit through the narrow door opening. \u00a0In other words, there was only one option: the Terex AC 100 \/ 4L all terrain crane.\u00a0\u00a0So the suspension of the crane was lowered and even the exterior mirrors were folded.<\/p>\n

The experienced crane operator moved carefully through the narrow entrance to get to the back of the building and the operator took advantage of the all-wheel steering to position the crane. A team consisting of the operator, a technician, the truck driver and four employees of the construction company Corcoran Fabrication had the crane set up in just over an hour and finished the job 2 days later.<\/p>\n

By not having to resort to the 600 ton crane to lift the tank from the outside the brewery, Central Contractors saved the customer at least $30,000 not to mention the cost of dismantling the power lines and the consequent loss of production at the brewery.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
