Haulotte Group<\/a>, a major French aerial work platform manufacturer, is playing a key role in the expansion of Abu Dhabi Midfield Terminal Complex (MTC) with the deployment of its work platforms at the construction site.<\/p>\n

The Haulotte aerial work platforms have occupied the new construction site of MTC with its complete range, thanks to its deal United Gulf Equipment<\/a> (Uger) which took control over the expansion phase by acquiring various deals both for sales and leasing with different contractors working in the project.<\/p>\n

“It\u2019s all because of our excellent service to the end users that sustained these machines for more than 18 months in this project of course with the support of Haulotte,” remarked one of Uger\u2019s representative.<\/p>\n

According to him, about 70 units of various Haulotte models are working on site.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

“This project is expected to complete by end of 2017 and we are confident not only to maintain our existing Haulotte fleet but also have great possibility to add new units as well with better quality of service by deputing more technicians on site 24\/7 with spare parts equipped thus giving client \/ contractors a better advantage and an additional edge over Haulotte & Uger,” he added.<\/p>\n

The construction of MTC and expansion of Abu Dhabi International Airport are vital to enable the diversification of the Emirate\u2019s economy by continued growth support to other industries through increased connectivity.<\/p>\n

Abu Dhabi Airports Company (Adac) with joint venture of TAV, CCC, and Arabtec had in 2012 signed a Dh10.8 billion ($2.93 billion)-contract for the construction of the Midfield Terminal building (MTB) at Abu Dhabi International Airport with opening planned for 2017.<\/p>\n

Uger joined the project in 2014 catering to a significant number of Haulotte aerial work platforms which mostly comprises big booms.<\/p>\n

Majority of the models working at the Abu Dhabi airport construction site are Haulotte Articulated Boom 32m, 41m & Telescopic Boom 43m, said the company official.<\/p>\n

The 41m model has a maximum outreach of 19.80m and the best lifting speed with less than 40 seconds which reduces time and increases productivity whereas 32m articulated boom & 43m telescopic booms are well known for their rough terrain capabilities, he added.<\/p>\n
