{"id":1685,"date":"2016-04-28T14:17:34","date_gmt":"2016-04-28T14:17:34","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=1685"},"modified":"2016-04-28T14:17:34","modified_gmt":"2016-04-28T14:17:34","slug":"worker-killed-by-crane-boom-on-queensferry-crossing","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/worker-killed-by-crane-boom-on-queensferry-crossing\/","title":{"rendered":"Worker killed by crane boom on Queensferry Crossing"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A 60-year-old worker on the Queensferry Crossing project in Scotland has been killed after being hit by the boom of a crane he was directing.<\/p>\n<p>The worker suffered severe blood loss, and taken off site but could not be resuscitated.<\/p>\n<p>Another man was also rushed to hospital and it is not thought his injuries are life-threatening.<\/p>\n<p>The fatal incident occurred just before 12pm at the new bridge\u2019s north tower.<\/p>\n<p>Harry Frew Regional Secretary for UCATT Scotland, said: \u201cUCATT sends its sincere condolences to the family of the worker who has suffered this tragic accident.
