{"id":165,"date":"2016-04-11T18:32:18","date_gmt":"2016-04-11T18:32:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=165"},"modified":"2016-04-11T18:32:18","modified_gmt":"2016-04-11T18:32:18","slug":"terex-touts-price-advantage-with-new-compact-excavators","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/terex-touts-price-advantage-with-new-compact-excavators\/","title":{"rendered":"Terex touts price advantage with new compact excavators"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Terex Corp. says it took care to preserve popular features of its existing compact excavators in developing an updated line comprising four models: the TC16-2, TC22-2, TC35-2 and TC35R-2.<\/p>\n<p>All four units incorporate the Schaeff heritage, conventional design, \u201cKnickmatik\u201d cylinder and top-mounted cylinder, the manufacturer says.<\/p>\n<p>Terex referred to \u201cthe company\u2019s new platform strategy,\u201d which emphasizes lower costs to customers, in outlining specifics of the compact excavators. As part of that strategy, Terex says, a variety of different models and <b><a title=\"Landscape Equipment\" href=\"http:\/\/www.totallandscapecare.com\/category\/landscaper-equipment\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">equipment<\/a><\/b> lines for various applications and target markets are built on uniform base modules.<\/p>\n<p>Terex says technical innovations in the company\u2019s designs are applied throughout the model series, while newly designed exteriors complement improved workstations and controls.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Digging performance<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><b><a title=\"Compact equipment maker Terex names new CEO\" href=\"http:\/\/www.totallandscapecare.com\/terex-new-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terex<\/a><\/b> says tests it conducted show the new models offer up to 20 percent more work performance on average \u2013 that is, faster trench-digging times \u2013 compared with similar models from competitors.<\/p>\n<p>The new compact excavators also are equipped with LUDV hydraulics (load-independent flow distribution), a technology Terex notes is available in very few models in this size class. The LUDV enables power to be transferred to the attachment the operator is using as needed.<\/p>\n<p>Terex says its new excavators\u2019 buckets offer exceptional ground penetration even in hard soils, while the machine\u2019s \u201cconventional design\u201d keeps it stable on rough terrain.<\/p>\n<p>For precise control of attachment tools, the second auxiliary circuit is operated with electrically proportional control, a standard feature offered on the Terex TC22-2 and larger models. (It\u2019s optional in the TC16-2.)<\/p>\n<p>Terex says the TC35-2 and TC35R-2 models are equipped with an extra-large <b><a title=\"A wild Ford F-150 diesel prototype has appeared (Video)\" href=\"http:\/\/www.totallandscapecare.com\/ford-f-150-diesel-prototype\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">diesel<\/a><\/b> fuel tank, while the TC35R-2 model also incorporates a short-tail design, allowing for excavation adjacent to walls and other obstacles.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Workstation features<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The TC16-2 and TC22-2 models offer a cabin with second door on the right, Terex says.
