However, no recovery in mining or oil &amp; gas in sight for this year and rail customers are having a tough 2016.<\/p>\n<p>2. \u00a0 <b>Good operational performance continues<\/b> \u2013 Overall market position for our machines in Q1 was better than this point last year &#8230; and continues to improve in China.<\/p>\n<p>3. \u00a0 <b>On track implementing restructuring actions we announced last September<\/b> \u2013 Contributed to $367 million of lower period costs in Q1.<\/p>\n<p>4. \u00a0 <b>Strong balance sheet<\/b> \u2013 Important because our credit rating and maintaining the dividend are high priorities.<\/p>\n<p>5. \u00a0 <b>Cat Financial well managed<\/b> \u2013 Portfolio metrics near historic averages, Q1 2016 past dues better than Q1 2015.<\/p>\n<p>6. \u00a0 <b>Focused on the future<\/b> \u2013 Investing in R&amp;D for our products, Lean and Across the Table with dealers.<\/p>\n<p>7. \u00a0 <b>Digital Strategy<\/b> \u2013 Exciting for our future.
