{"id":1364,"date":"2016-04-24T15:35:18","date_gmt":"2016-04-24T15:35:18","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=1364"},"modified":"2016-04-24T15:35:18","modified_gmt":"2016-04-24T15:35:18","slug":"terex-trucks-made-in-scotland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/terex-trucks-made-in-scotland\/","title":{"rendered":"TEREX TRUCKS: MADE IN SCOTLAND"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Manufacturing excellence gets pride of place on the Terex Trucks\u2019 stand at the Royal Highland Centre in Edinburgh during <a href=\"http:\/\/scotplant.com\/2012\/05\/05\/carry-the-load\/terex\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">SCOTPLANT<\/a> 2016 with the company exhibiting its latest off-highway truck technology.<\/p>\n<p>On show at the event, which sees <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terextrucks.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terex Trucks<\/a> partner with UK distributor, <a href=\"http:\/\/tdlequipment.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TDL Equipment<\/a>, will be the largest truck ever built in the United Kingdom, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terextrucks.com\/products\/22-tr100\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TR100<\/a> rigid dump truck, a monster machine that\u2019s capable of carrying 100 tons (91 tonnes), alongside its smaller cousin, the 30 ton (27.2 tonne) capacity <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terextrucks.com\/products\/18-ta300\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">TA300<\/a> articulated hauler.<\/p>\n<p>Aftermarket and service excellence will also be featured prominently on the company\u2019s exhibition stand, including a display of Factory Approved parts. Experts will be on hand to give advice on a range of customer solution topics, from preventative maintenance and service agreements to uptime, fuel efficiency and productivity best practices.<\/p>\n<p>Motherwell-based Terex Trucks, which employs 360 people at its manufacturing facility on the Newhouse Industrial Estate, has been making rigid and articulated dump trucks \u2013 off-highway trucks used to move earth, rocks and minerals in the construction and mining industries \u2013 since 1950.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201c<em><strong>Having our global manufacturing facility located in the heart of central Scotland, means we are perfectly positioned to supply new and existing customers both domestically and internationally with the powerful and robust trucks they have come to expect,\u201d says company general manager Paul Douglas.&#8221;<\/strong><\/em><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>And with major civils infrastructure projects such as the new Forth crossing, M8 and M74 motorway expansions and the Aberdeen bypass, Scotland is at the forefront of the UK construction market, making SCOTPLANT 2016 an important show for Terex Trucks, says Mr Douglas.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSCOTPLANT provides a fantastic opportunity to display and celebrate truly Scottish designed, developed and manufactured products which are used in some of the most remote and extreme locations around the world.
