{"id":11029,"date":"2017-04-21T14:35:04","date_gmt":"2017-04-21T14:35:04","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=11029"},"modified":"2017-04-21T14:35:04","modified_gmt":"2017-04-21T14:35:04","slug":"telehandler-strikes-propane-tank-at-construction-site-in-new-hampshire","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/telehandler-strikes-propane-tank-at-construction-site-in-new-hampshire\/","title":{"rendered":"Telehandler strikes propane tank at construction site in New Hampshire"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>A telehandler struck the cover of an underground propane tank at a Londonderry, New Hampshire \u00a0subdivision Wednesday morning, causing a gas leak.<\/p>\n<p>At the \u00a0construction site, the telehandler hit the manhole cover atop a 500-gallon propane tank in the back yard of one of the finished homes, said Fire Battalion Chief Kevin Zins.<\/p>\n<p>The home was occupied; Zins said no one was hurt.<\/p>\n<p>Londonderry police and fire blocked off the area, which is being developed by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.lamontagnebuilders.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">La Monagne Builders Incorporated<\/a>, during the incident.<\/p>\n<p>To control spreading gas, firefighters sprayed water on the leak to dissipate the gas.<\/p>\n<p>The tank was holding 400 gallons of propane at the time, which had to be let out before the tank could be safely removed and replaced, Zins said.<\/p>\n<p>A burner unit was set up at the end of the gas line to further empty the tank, said Zins.
