{"id":10671,"date":"2017-03-09T15:14:22","date_gmt":"2017-03-09T15:14:22","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/minutes.machine.market\/?p=10671"},"modified":"2017-03-09T15:14:22","modified_gmt":"2017-03-09T15:14:22","slug":"terex-introduces-new-demag-ac-55-3-and-ac-60-3-all-terrain-to-the-marketplace","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/machine.market\/blog\/terex-introduces-new-demag-ac-55-3-and-ac-60-3-all-terrain-to-the-marketplace\/","title":{"rendered":"Terex introduces new Demag AC 55-3 and AC 60-3 All Terrain Cranes to the marketplace"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.terex.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Terex Cranes<\/a> is introducing the 3-axle <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terex.com\/cranes\/en\/products-demag\/all-terrain-cranes\/AC55-3\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AC 55-3 <\/a>and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.terex.com\/cranes\/en\/products-demag\/all-terrain-cranes\/AC60-3\/index.htm\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">AC 60-3<\/a> to its Demag\u00ae line of all terrain cranes. The 3-axle 55-tonne (60 US-t) and 60-tonne (65 US-t) capacity models feature the latest industry advancements to increase productivity and reduce operating costs. The cranes have an automated counterweight rigging system for easy and fast setup, a one-engine concept that minimizes operational and maintenance costs and the IC-1 Plus control system that provides the crane\u2019s maximum allowable lifting capacity, based on the slewing angle, for every crane configuration. These innovations help make the Demag 3-axle cranes a one-person operation.<\/p>\n<p>Demag AC 55-3 and AC 60-3 all terrain cranes have a 50 m (164 ft) single cylinder telescoping main boom, the longest of any 3-axle all terrain crane. Also, the AC 60-3 model can be fitted with a 16 m (52.5 ft) extension, making it the longest system in its class. The main boom on both cranes can be lowered to 5 degrees below horizontal to avoid working at heights for easy and fast setup. The cranes&#8217; outriggers can be positioned independently from each other for efficient positioning, taking advantage of the IC-1 Plus system\u2019s ability to calculate the maximum allowable lifting capacity based on the crane\u2019s configuration. Also, the optional remote control gives the operator the ability to safely and easily rig and operate the crane remotely from the ground.<\/p>\n<p>At only 2.55 m (8.2 ft) wide, the same as a standard truck and the ability to stay within 12-tonne axle weight restrictions, Demag 3-axle cranes provide fast and efficient transportation between job sites. The Demag AC 55-3 crane can also be configured to meet 10-tonne axle weight restrictions when necessary.<\/p>\n<p>The flexibility of these two cranes continues when arriving at the jobsite. The cranes are compact with excellent maneuverability to help the operator quickly position the crane. The 3-sheave VarioHook system, and powerful hoist, with 60.2 kN (6,13 tons \u2013 6,75 US tonnes) of line pull, contribute to help shorten rigging time, reduce the weight of equipment transported and save time on the job.
