Canada-Recovery teams had to use a Mammoet All Terrain crane Friday to lift a pickup truck from the bottom of Hagersville Quarry following a two-vehicle collision in Haldimand County that killed one man and put two women in hospital.
Officers said a black GMC Denali pickup truck was travelling north on Sandusk Road when it collided with a blue colored vehicle travelling west.
The Denali left the roadway and ended up at the bottom of the Hagersville Quarry, under six-and-a-half meters of water. The crane was used to lift the vehicle out of the quarry and the body of a man was found in the driver’s seat.
