Liebherr – Video of Assembly of a BOS 35000 (Bord Offshore Crane)

Assembly of a board offshore crane, type BOS 35000 on the heavy lift barge “Giant 7”. The installation was conducted from January to February 2016.

Liebherr says that the biggest challenge when assembling heavy lift giants like the BOS 35000 is the handling of oversized parts. The lattice boom is 78 m long and weighs more than 250 tonnes.

Assembly and testing of the crane took six weeks, before the vessel departed for operational use in the Baltic Sea.
