A AKM Autokranvermietung GmbH crane operator was lifting an eight-ton metal roof for a building in Plauen, Germany when the Liebherr All Terrain mobile crane he was operating tipped over. As seen in the picture, two construction workers were in a scissor lift working when the main boom of the crane came crashing down only inches away from the aerial access lift.
One of the workers was hit in his face with a steel cable when the crane tipped over, he was treated at a local hospital and fortunately only suffered minor cuts. It is reported, the accident will be a material loss of one million euros. No serious injuries or deaths were reported.
