Whitaker Construction Co. based in Brigham City, UT was awarded a $2,397,000 contract by Last Chance Canal Company for the Last Chance Diversion Dam Rehabilitation in Idaho.

This project consisted of diversion and bypassing of the Bear River in order to demolish the existing 200-ft long timber crib dam and replace it with a new Roller Compacted Concrete (RCC) dam with associated wing walls, training walls, canal intake & radial gates.  Work includes placement of 3,700cy of RCC of Structural Concrete, 400cy of riprap, and misc. work.
